Oasis Ministry

Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 'Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.' It is the hope of Oasis Special Needs Ministry at Elim Church to present —as best as we are able— an opportunity for the type of rest Jesus was speaking of, not only to children that have special needs (aged 0-12), but to their parents and/or caregivers, families, loved ones and friends. Oasis Special Needs Ministry will do this by offering opportunities to participate in praise and worship, Bible study, making crafts and learning songs related to the Bible story we are studying (we use Lifeway's Special Buddies), all while the children's parents and/or caregivers and families go to their own service and/or ministry throughout Elim Church.
Oasis is located in the last classroom on the left down Elim Children's Center Sunday School Hall and meets every Sunday morning at 8:30am, 10am & 11am and on Wednesday nights at 7pm.
Parents/Caregivers: Please call Salvador or Deborah Arrona in advance (832-623-6352) if you are interested in having your special needs child participate in our Oasis Special Needs Ministry. We ask this so that we may gather all the information needed to effectively care for and minister to your child or children who have special needs. We look forward to serving you!
Salvador and Deborah Arrona are the Directors of Oasis Special Needs Ministry and also parents of their daughter, Aria Magdalena, who is a surviving preemie that has multiple special needs.
